Tormented Souls Within: The Inside World of a Christian Survivor With Dissociative Identity Disorder

This is my true story of a Christian Survivor of childhood abuse and trauma who suffered with severe physical pains throughout my body and emotional stress, mental anguish and memory loss my entire life due to the stress, depression, Ptsd, anxiety and panic disorders as I suffered with Dissociative Identity Disorder. Confusion consumed my every waking moment while I constantly prayed for death on a daily basis and got my courage and strength through God's good grace and Christians all around me. God did answer my prayers when he gave me the energy to run and he was right there with me as I struggled through the turmoil and fear but he had a plan for me and blessed me with the sanity that he had buried deep inside for me to recover in a later time of my life.

Welcome to our site

This site has been created through my experiences as a survivor of severe childhood abuse who has suffered with many mental disorders and illnesses as depression, anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD amongst other debilitating mental conditions. I would also like to promote a better understanding of Dissociative Identity Disorder, formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder and guide those who need help and answers but just don't know where to start.

I Candy Little being the only operator of this web site comply with C.O.P.P.A. [Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998] with the new requirements for protecting children's privacy online and understand the FTC's enforcement authority; Therefore I do not collect any type of information from children under the age of 13.

I feel that the best way that we can help our children who are being abused is to offer our support to the care givers who are suffering with their own poor mental health, and to educate them of the psychological help that is available so that they can care for Their children properly.

My message and purpose in developing this web site First and foremost is to touch on issues related to Dissociative Identity Disorder and how our mental health greatly affects our physical health in every way, and to share my thoughts, opinions and theories on such issues as memories, dissociation and mental health amongst many others that I've pondered upon.

I want to emphasize how important it is for the client/patient to be allowed to use prayer in the healing process and in the healing of the mind and body if she/he prefers to do so. I understand the importance of building a support system and how difficult it can be and that is why I have built this web site.

Can I help you?
If you are a Survivor in need of support, you are welcomed to send me a message through my contact form. Please remember that I am not a professional in any way. I cannot act as a therapist, physician or a psychiatrist to you but I can listen and act as a friend as I have been doing now for over ten years. Please know that any information you choose to share with me will remain in complete confidence. I will never speak to anyone about any issues that you choose to share with me. I am here to act only as another survivor with D.I.D. who can hopefully help to put you at ease, give you my support and be here for you.

Please don't forget to sign the guest book, I would so much like to know that you were here! And if you have suggestions or comments that might help others, feel free to visit the message Board and post for all to see.
